I'm still here...
After three months of commuting 200 miles a week to work and back and two months of packing and unpacking, we are finally settling in to our new digs in Orlando. It's great to be back in O town with old friends!
It's been a pretty exciting time watching all that's going on in the animation world the past several weeks. I work in a small studio that is almost completely staffed with former Disney animation folk and I have to say that the place is buzzing with the news of Disney buying Pixar.
At first, I have to admit, that I was more than deeply numbed when I heard the news. I felt that all hope had been lost; the giant had slain the hero. But when the word that Ed Catmull and John Lasseter would be in charge of Disney Animation, my excitement began to rise. This is a watershed event for animation. My coworkers are equally excited at the potential of this new partnership and the return of the Disney culture by the keepers of its flame.
And you know what has absolutely nothing to do with that? This drawing:
Just a few random doodles.
More to comeā¦
PS. My wife seemingly has no problem with me blogging on Valentines Day :)

You're alive!! Nice. That was a blog worth waiting for. Nice doodles Eddie, Hopefully there will be more soon!
Take Care
Hey Eddie,
Glad you're back:) I felt the exact same way, when I heard the Disney/Pixar news...Aaaaaarrrg, how could this be happening! BUT, now that the Pixar heroes are in the good seats it's a completely different situation. The first good thing already happened when Lasseter shut down Toy Story 3:D
Am sure we'll see some good traditional animation from Disney in the future.
Cool sketches by the way!
Hi Eddie,
very nice character designs. I think I have seen a lot of your work on your website before.
Don't you have your own animation studio?
Kind regards,
Tony
